The LinkedIn news feed is easy to follow. Similar to Facebook, on LinkedIn you will see updates about your connections and also about groups or companies you follow. For job seekers, the biggest benefit to following companies are the updates about job opportunities. Many of the ones that pop up will be related to the experience listed in your LinkedIn profile. Since I am currently in Human Resources and used to be in Public Relations, those are the types of jobs that typically show up for me.
If you search for a company and visit their page, you will find the “Follow” button on the right hand side. Once you are following them, they post updates about job openings and other opportunities. You can also sort your news feed –”All Updates” is the default but you can sort by companies, coworkers, shares, and more.
